For a person living with dementia, the familiar matters: their own kitchen, their own chair, the window with the view they know. Our dementia caregivers are trained under Illinois dementia care requirements to provide patient, structured, reassuring support that works with cognitive changes instead of against them — reducing agitation, maintaining routine, and keeping your loved one safe in the home they remember.

Consistent routines and familiar caregiver matching to reduce confusion
Redirection and de-escalation techniques for agitation and sundowning
Wandering awareness and home safety monitoring
All personal care services: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
Meal preparation and hydration encouragement
Memory-friendly activities and gentle engagement
Verbal medication reminders on the provider's schedule
Respite and support for the family caregivers carrying the heaviest load
A Note for Families
Caring for a parent with dementia is a marathon carried mostly by one person. Our dementia care pairs naturally with respite care ($33/hour) so the family caregiver can rest without guilt.

Dementia & Alzheimer's Care: $31/hour, 4-hour minimum. Free in-home assessment and written quote.

Bruma Home Care provides non-medical home services only. We do not provide skilled nursing, wound care, medication administration, or therapy services. All care is coordinated with the client's own healthcare team. We accept private pay and long-term care insurance; Medicare does not cover non-medical home care. Serving DuPage, Kane & Kendall Counties, Illinois. Rates effective 10/01/2026 and subject to change with 30 days written notice.
