Service Details
The riskiest part of recovery often isn't the hospital — it's the first weeks back home. Missed medication reminders, a fall on the way to the bathroom, skipped meals, no ride to follow-up appointments. That's how people who worked hard to get better end up readmitted. Bruma's Recovery Support Care closes that gap: a trained caregiver in the home during the critical 2–12 week recovery window, following the instructions your doctors and therapists already set.

What's Included in this service?
Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while mobility is limited
Fall prevention support and safe transfer assistance (bed, chair, bathroom, stairs)
Verbal medication reminders on the schedule your provider set
Meal preparation aligned with any dietary instructions from your care team
Light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping walkways clear and safe
Transportation and accompaniment to follow-up and therapy appointments
Encouragement with the home exercise plan your therapist assigned
Companionship through a recovery that can feel isolating
What Makes Our Recovery Care Different
1. Recovery-trained caregivers. Every Recovery Support caregiver completes additional in-service training in fall prevention, safe transfer techniques following surgery, and following post-discharge instructions.
2. Fast starts. Discharges don't wait. Engagements typically begin within 24–72 hours of your call — often the same week your loved one comes home.
3. We work with your healthcare team — never around them. Bruma provides non-medical support only. We follow the plan your doctors, nurses, and therapists created. We do not provide nursing, wound care, medication administration, or therapy services.
How It Works
Call us — before or after discharge. Ideally while your loved one is still in the hospital or rehab, so care is ready on day one at home. (630) 589-2973.
Free in-home assessment. We review the discharge instructions with you, walk the home for fall risks, and build a schedule around the recovery plan.
Care begins within 24–72 hours. Your caregiver arrives trained, briefed, and matched — including language preference: English, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, or Spanish.
We adjust as recovery progresses. Hours scale down as independence returns. Many families transition to lighter companion care or end services entirely — that's success.
